2. Using Clean Beats

  • Account Registration: You must register for an account to use Clean Beats.
  • User Conduct: You are responsible for all your activity in connection with the service and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

3. Intellectual Property

All content provided on Clean Beats, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Clean Beats or its licensors, including but not limited to Spotify, and is protected by intellectual property laws. Most of the data in Clean Beats is licensed from Spotify and is subject to Spotify's intellectual property rights and terms of use.

4. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the service immediately, without prior notice, if we find you in violation of these Terms.

5. Disclaimers

Clean Beats is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

6. Limitation of Liability

Clean Beats shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from the use of our services.

Rating System for Songs

All Ages

  • Criteria: Contains no content that would be rated above a 13+ level in any category.
  • Allowed Tags: Unlimited uses of any tags that fall under the 13+ categories across all elements (profanity, violence, etc.).
  • Example: A song that only discusses themes like friendship, love, and generic happy subjects without any mature language or themes.

    • 13+

  • Criteria: Can contain up to three uses of any 17+ tags in total (e.g., one mild drug reference, one moderate swear word, one moderate violence reference). Can contain multiple instances of 13+ content.
  • Allowed Tags: Up to three 17+ tags, unlimited 13+ tags.
  • Example: A song with occasional stronger language (like "hell" or "damn"), references to teenage issues, or mild sexual innuendo.

    • 17+

  • Criteria: Contains any form of explicit content (Profanity-17, Violence-17, etc.) more than three times, or deals with themes only suitable for adults.
  • Allowed Tags: Unlimited uses of any tags, including multiple explicit references to drugs, sex, severe violence, or intense language.
  • Example: A song with explicit language, detailed violent imagery, or overt sexual content.

    • Application of the System

    This rating system allows for a flexible yet structured approach to categorize songs based on content suitability for different age groups. Songs are rated based on both the intensity and the frequency of mature content. For instance, a single explicit reference (like an F-bomb) might push a song to a 13+ rating if it's otherwise mild, but repeated use would categorize it as 17+. Similarly, a song could be rated 13+ for moderate language used frequently throughout.
